Just two miles east of the Sportsman Access and 350 feet off a paved road. The Heacock Hideaway cabin rests in a quiet setting with a view of scenic Hayden Lake filtered by pine trees. From the cabin, visitors can look west across the bay and south down the lake where Canfield Butte is visible six miles away. The cabin is conveniently located 20 minutes from Silverwood Theme Park and 25 minutes from downtown Coeur d'Alene. Situated on the edge of wilderness, Hayden Lake is popular with fishermen, who enjoy its deep waters. Since the Coeur dAlene National Forest is adjacent to the lake, the area is also renowned for the beauty of its natural setting. This region between the lake and the Montana border 40 miles to the east is forested, mountainous habitat with deer, elk and other big game. |
