It's time to get Lost in the '50s

Vroom, vroom. Welcome to Sandpoint's biggest party of the year - the Lost in the '50s celebration Thursday, May 13 through Sunday, May 16. Folks are already revving up for this beloved weekend of nostalgia, drawing car enthusiasts from numerous states and Canada. This year's 25th celebration includes the popular downtown car parade and street dance, two rock 'n' roll shows (Friday and Saturday nights!) featuring great acts from the '50s, plus the two-day car show downtown and a fun run to follow. Learn more including ticket and entry info at Lostin50s.com.

Silverwood Theme Park is open!

Look forward to a new season of fun at Silverwood Theme Park, featuring more than 65 rides, shows and attractions, including four roller coasters, a steam engine train, magic shows and much more. And it's worth your while to check for early-season discounts by visiting SilverwoodThemePark.com. Silverwood is located about 25 miles south of Sandpoint on Highway 95.

Summer's definitely in sight ...

There's a particularly delectable event that keeps Sandpoint residents and visitors alike coming back for more. It's the annual Summer Sampler, happening in downtown Sandpoint's Farmin Park Thursday, June 17. This is a chance to taste "samples" of fine cuisine from an eclectic mix of Sandpoint restaurants - all in one place. Plus don't miss the Chef Cook-off Competition sponsored by Litehouse salad dressings.

The next evening, Friday, June 18, it's time to take a walking tour 'round town for the ArtWalk I revolving art exhibit at nearly 20 venues. Opening receptions take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., and you'll truly have a great time just meandering from one gallery to the next! ArtinSandpoint.org.

And finally, join Schweitzer Mountain Resort for their Summer Celebration Saturday, June 26, for a day of free chairlift rides and fun, family-friendly activities. For more information, plus to check out their incredible summer stay-and-play packages, visit Schweitzer.com.
